JASON WALTER LJUBIC October 2, 1974 - May 17, 2012 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son, boyfriend, uncle, cousin and most amazing brother Jason at the young age of 37 after a very brief but very courageous battle with cancer. Jason was born and raised in Winnipeg. He had a love for the good things in life. His passion was motorcycles and cars but more than anything friends and family were what meant the most to him. He was always the first person there to help in the time of need, no matter who it was or what it was for. He always put others ahead of himself and never thought twice when someone asked for or needed help in any way. Jason spent most of his adult years working for Empire Iron Works with his dad. He always said this was just the beginning and was building towards a future that he always dreamed of. Three years ago he began to make his dreams a reality when he purchased his home in Florida. This was his pride and joy and although he lived in Winnipeg, from this point on his heart was always in Florida. Jason leaves behind his parents, Mirko and Ethel, brother, Donovan (Carissa), girlfriend and soul mate, Karen (Robyn and Lauren), his best friends Tomi and Michelle (Jaiden and Sarah), his babies Fatso and Duckey, numerous family members in Sudbury and Croatia, and his many many friends from all over the world. Jason spent his life dreaming big, all the while trying to take care of everyone around him. In his final selfless act, with his family by his side, Jay's last words were meant to put us all at rest and comfort us when he said I'll be fine. Now he is gone with Jesus to begin his new journey in Heaven where he will be watching over us as he awaits our arrival. Rest in peace Jason, you will always be a part of us and we will never forget you and love you so much. You were an inspiration to all who knew you. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 23, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Tavelich, 2688 Main Street. Interment will take place at a later date at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street. Hard to believe you'd leave us this way and so soon. If someone told me it happened on a bike at 300 kmh or racing into the sunset with a tricked out car, or sky diving off a cliff in an exotic location... I'd believe them. This was not a fair shake, but you have not been cheated. You've always made the best of everyday and lived life to the fullest. You made each day count... In their younger years many people make money, and save, and save some more and don't get to experience the finer things in life, but when they get the chance their bodies are tired and their minds are weak. You were young and strong and made the best of it. You knew to have fun and treat yourself accordingly. You shared the same passions in life and your motto was much like mine ‘Laboris Gloria Ludi’... ‘Work Hard, Play Hard. Keep the stars bright. - Posted by: Brent "Hooligan" Polson (Friend) on: May 22, 2012

To my dear friend Jay, whom I met through a mutual friend, Ernie, 10 years ago. I will always remember a kind soul, who always put everyone's needs first. A guy who always calls to just check up on you. See if you need anything. Anytime I'd see his name come up on my phone, I knew I was gonna take a coupe minutes outa my day to relax and have a good laugh, or have him bust my balls about something he needed for a friend or for himself. When that call ended my day was a little better. We always talked about Florida, and how much he wished he could bring all his friends an family there with him to share the life he always wanted. Our shared passion for traveling the USA was a common bond we had. The open offer to spend the winter in Clearwater FL, was just the kind of open hearted guy he was. Everyone should be so lucky to have a friend like Jay in they're life. We all lost someone who made things a little better for anyone he knew. I lost a friend, that I'd be proud to say was like a brother. I'll miss all the updates, like the squirrel problem, the renovations to the new place, or something he was building to ride. Till we meet again, "luv ya bro". - Posted by: Ron Antoine (Friend) on: May 19, 2012

Jason and I were friends and went to school together, from K - 12. After graduating, we would see each other here and there, and it was always like old times. We would share a laugh and it was always nice to see him. Jason and I reconnected when he bought a house on Liss Road, right by my mailbox, and we saw each other quite a bit until he sold it. The past few days he has been on my mind constantly and my heart goes out to his family, stay strong and take care. See ya on the other side Jay! - Posted by: Mike Ladobruk (friend) on: May 19, 2012
