Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MORRISON (nee MYSKA) Mary Morrison, born December 2, 1922, took her final breath on May 19, 2012. Left to cherish her memory are her children Rob and Shirley (Pat), daughter-in-law Ruth, grandchildren Lindsey (Aaron), Joanna (Devin), Jamie (Jonas), great-grandson Chaz; sister Olga (Wilf), sister-in-law Mary; brothers Nestor, Albert (Joyce) and Peter (Eva); and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John, son Gary, brother Rudy and parents Jennie, Anna and Michael Myska. Mary worked all her adult life on the small farm that she and her husband operated near Gordon, Manitoba in Rosser Municipality. She was a quiet woman, generous to all, a creative cook known for her pear and squash pies, a loyal fan of CBC radio, a regular exerciser, committed to re-using and recycling, and loved gardening. She was a determined individual, maintaining her strength through the toughest of difficulties. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Stonewall hospital for their kindness and care in Mary's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012, at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall with a reception to follow. Internment will take place afterwards at Lilyfield cemetery.
