My sincere condolences to all of Bernice's family. Though I didn't see her much, I spoke to her many times. She was close to my mom, Doreen, and I sympathized with her many health problems. Her knowledge and memory of our family's history always amazed me, as did her longevity. - Posted by: Brian Simmons (Nephew) on: May 24, 2012

My dear sweet Grandma. You will always be in my heart. I know you were worried about not having a birthday present for me, but Mom had given me some money from you to buy something so I want you to know that I am having a birthday present made specially from you that I can keep you close to my heart. I am having a glass Grand piano pendant made to wear around my neck. A one of a kind. Thank you for all the wonderful years we have had together. I will always cherish the times we got to spend alone together and as a family. Rest in peace my sweetheart until we meet again. I love you Grandma! Love always forever and ever. Bernice was a quiet, kind neighbor who loved her piano. I was sorry when she reluctantly left the Westwood House to live elsewhere after a long time in hospital. She used to enjoy reading the Free Press which often I would take to her. She called herself 'one eyed' as she had a vision problem. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Doreen McDonald (neighbour) on: May 24, 2012
