DOUGLAS WILLIAM MCMURRAY November 15, 1962- May 20, 2012 Doug McMurray passed away peacefully in his home on May 20, at age 49, with his family by his side. Doug is survived by his mother Pat McMurray, sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Frank Shannon, sister and brother-in-law Barb and Trevor Staerk, daughter and son-in-law Ashley McMurray and Blake Adams, son and daughter-in-law Sean McMurray and Jocelyn Legault, and his granddaughter Fiona Adams, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Bill McMurray, in 2008. Doug was born in Winnipeg on November 15, 1962. He was raised in Stony Mountain and continued living there throughout his whole life. Doug was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 142 for most of his adult life. Doug had a love for many sports including playing and coaching his two favourites baseball and hockey. A special Thank You to the Nurses and Doctors at CancerCare Manitoba for their continued support through Doug's illness. Thank You to MacKenzie Funeral Home. As per Doug's wishes there will be no funeral service held. A small private burial will take place.
