Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDILLON WADE BEAULIEU Dillon Wade Beaulieu (Misko Binesii-Red Thunderbird), 22, of Sandy Bay First Nation tragically left us into the spirit world on Monday, May 14, 2012. He was born March 14, 1990 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to George Beaulieu and Ernestine Spence. He attended Ebb and Flow School, Alonsa School and later Isaac Beaulieu Memorial School where he graduated from in 2010. He had planned on attending University of Manitoba. As a child there was never a dull moment with Dillon, he was an easy-going and brilliant child who loved to joke around. He had a great passion for music at a young age, he learned to play guitar and often played whether it was at home or out visiting family and friends. Dillon was also an advocate in his own right; he understood the implications of drug abuse. Dillon stood up for all first nation youth, he would open up on his own experiences and try to teach and help others, always advocating for what he knew was right. Dillon was more commonly known as Chillin with Dillon' as he was a DJ on Sandy Bay Radio, with his unique and charismatic character he made many friends along the way and his popularity grew. Dillon was a natural on the airwaves, he always spoke of the exclusive interviews he had done in his travels. More recently, one of his biggest highlights was his exclusive interview with National Chief Shawn Atleo. Dillon left a big impression and a place in his heart. Dillon was sadly predeceased by his mother Ernestine Spence in 2009. He is survived by his father George Beaulieu (Debralee) of Sandy Bay First Nation. He also leaves to mourn his younger brothers Mason (Kateri), Jordan and William. His sisters Charlotte (Earl), Vanessa (Alfred), Francine (Irvin), Tanya, Lisa (Joe), Julia (Craig), Candace (Allan), Jorja and Emmalee. He also leaves his grandparents Joseph and Sarah Beaulieu and Betty and Lloyd Houle all of Sandy Bay First Nation. Dillon also leaves to mourn numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and the many, many friends he had from far and wide. A tremendous thank-you to Sandy Bay Chief and Council and the many volunteers from Sandy Bay and Ebb and Flow First Nations. Included are the RCMP, Ebb and Flow Search and Rescue teams, Sandy Bay Fire Department, Lake Manitoba First Nation, Rolling River First Nation, and Grand Chief Derek Nepinak for his support along with the staff from Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. All the women who provided food, support, encouragement and care for the search teams. Lastly, the undivided First Nation support that helped us bring Dillon home. We cannot express enough how much this meant to us. Wake Service will be held at the residence of George and Debralee Beaulieu on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Sandy Bay First Nation. Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Ebb and Flow Complex in Ebb and Flow First Nation. Interment will follow at the Ebb and Flow Cemetery. Thinking about you a lot lately. Was really stressing over exams but I'm trying so hard in school for you, and I've been so mentally drained. I remember when I was a little girl you always told me to never stop trying for anything you would want more in this world and to have fun and live free. I miss you so dearly much uncle, you have no idea what you meant to me. I remember when you lived with us and we were playing soccer and jumping on the trampoline in the backyard like it was yesterday. You have never given up on me, even though I was just small I still and always will remember you. You cherished the little things in life, you were so grateful for what you had, you had such a humorous and lovable personality. Was looking through my boxes and I found a picture of you, how peaceful and happy you looked. I'll never understand why God took you away this early. Recently thinking about you and I know your watching over me and I'm trying to make you proud and accomplish tasks for you. I'm sorry I've made mistakes I'm trying to fix them. I miss you so much Uncle Dill. I remember going to boo at the zoo just walking around and being in your presence was enough for me. You were my favourite uncle and I'll never forget how you stayed at my house playing riffs on my mom's guitar, listening to Metallica or Pantera or just telling some crazy stories to me and my siblings. I remember the last time I saw you it was when you came to my house in the city with Grandpa George and you guys got us some pretty sick t-shirts from the Wall of China. I still wear that Hard Rock tee even tho it's a little worn out. I wish I could see you one last time just so I could tell you how great it was to spend time with you and how much I truly do miss and love you. But this is why I'm writing this, to get out all the things I've wanted to say to you because before you left I didn't even get to say goodbye, not a hug or an I love you and now here I am a year later still mourning. I'm gonna miss you uncle you left and took a little piece of me with you. But that's ok. I will forever love you and miss you. P.S. Remember that nickname I made for you when I was ten? He was my big brother I never had. He would always stick up for me and drilled it into my head to respect your elders. I never in a million years thought we would have to let you go at such a young age. I miss you soon much big D... I really enjoy listening to Chilin with Dillon. Every time I came home to Sandy Bay to visit, and even had it programed in my computer at home in Winnipeg.
