RUDOLPH SCHILLER September 1, 1918 - May 25, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rudolph (Rudy) Schiller of Beausejour, Manitoba. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Louisa (Reinhold), Richard, Bernard, Marianne (Scott), Verna, Holly (Kevin), and grandchildren: Matthew, Lesley, Ethan, Nathan, Taylor, Owen, and Katrina. He is also survived by his sister Alma Schiller of Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Rudy was predeceased by his wife Helene (2010), and his children - Ernest, Harold, and Albertina in infancy. Rudy was born and raised on the family farm in Green Bay, Manitoba. In 1952 Rudy took over the family farm, and the following year married Helene Otto. In 1965 they moved their growing family to Beausejour. Over the years Rudy was employed in various industries including farming, logging, and construction. He was physically active throughout his entire life, and even in retirement kept himself busy and enjoyed working outdoors. He served on the St. Paul's Lutheran Church council for many years, and continued to regularly attend church when able to. Rudy was a quiet, unassuming man who willingly gave his time and help to those who asked. The family would like to thank the Beausejour Emergency Medical Services and R.C.M.P. for their compassionate and quick response. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Green Bay with Pastor Mark Koenker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Fund, or the charity of your choice.
