JOHN NICHOLS It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather John Nichols on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the family cottage at Falcon Lake. Dad will be deeply missed by his wife Eileen, with whom he just celebrated 61 years of marriage, on Saturday, May 26, 2012, his children Bill (Val), Greg, Gary, Ed (Tracey), Mark (Shannon), and Carol Brown (Paul), his grandchildren Charla Posthumus (Dave), Christy, Curtis (Michelle), Courtney (Jeremiah), Kyle (Afton), Chelsea Nichols, Jessica and Ryan Brown, and his great-grandchildren Matthew, Katie, Ashley Posthumus and Cherine Nichols. Left to also cherish his memory, his sister Lillian Gunn, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Dad was predeceased by his parents Annie and William Nichols, brothers Bob, Walter, Alan, Reg and Edwin. Dad was born on October 21, 1929 at his parent's home in West Kildonan. He grew up and lived in the West Kildonan area all his life. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and spending time at the lake. In his younger years he helped his brother Alan on the farm. Dad first started work for the Municipality of West Kildonan then in 1951, he entered the Plumbing and Heating Industry with various companies, retiring with the Seven Oaks School Division in 1987. We will miss his loving and caring compassion he had towards us. The family wishes to thank Falcon Lake Paramedics, and the RCMP detachment for their kindness and compassion. Many thanks to Dr. Orla Klassen for taking care of dad over the years. God Bless you Dad, Grandpa, Great grandpa. Love you lots and will miss you but always carry you in our hearts. Rest in Peace. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial Service to be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with Rev.
