WILLIAM HECTOR (HEC) GRAY 1924 - 2012 We regret the peaceful passing of our beloved father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. Hec had a full life filled with many passions, first and foremost was his unwavering commitment to his family. He was always there when called upon. Hec was married to his beloved wife Dorothy (Dot) for 66 wonderful years. His relentless pursuit of community needs and fundraising was very special to him. He absolutely loved all sports but most particularly hockey! There was very seldom a day went by when he was not participating in his son's, daughter's, niece's, nephew's or grandchildren's sports games or events. As a legend of Grand Beach his Home away from home , he was a great contributor to the community. For 40 years he ran the Grand Beach Open Golf Tournament at Pine Falls. He was the owner of Grand Putt Mini Golf providing jobs and lots of summer entertainment for the kids. Hec was one of the original founders of the Grand Beach Community Club. He will really miss watching the birds and animals at the cottage. He always lived up to his name, Hec. He was one Hec of a guy! His family and many friends will miss him dearly. There will be a private service for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
