Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVA SANDERSON (nee MCCONNELL) Iva (nee McConnell) Sanderson, of Winnipeg, passed away May 25, 2012, at the age of 99 years. Iva was born in Crystal City, MB on September 27, 1912. She is survived by her three sons: Lloyd (Margarita), Keith (Carol) and David; five grandchildren: Sheri and Kevin (Barb); Tim (Tracy) and Liz (Troy) and Jason; nine great-grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua and Nathan; Katrina (deceased), Daniel and Ian; Hannah, Gavin and Ethan. One brother Everette (Shirley). Iva was predeceased by: first husband William, second husband Ted, sister Gladys, brother Stewart and son Bill. A Celebration of Iva's life will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. in Westwood Presbyterian Church, 197 Browning Blvd. In lieu of flowers, Iva requested donations to be made to World Vision, to the village where her sponsored child lives. I did not know Iva or her sons personally but her first husband William McConnell was my mother's cousin. I would like to send my sympathy to Iva's sons. I received a lovely photo of Iva and sons Bill, Lloyd and Keith a few days ago (Keith is aged about one) and would love to share it with them. Iva was an inspiration to Sue and I. She was always so engaged and knowledgeable in current affairs. We grieve with the immediate family at her passing and wish them peace and comfort at this time.
