EMILY BORCIK Peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2012, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Emily passed away with her family at her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William (Judy) and Louise (Bob), grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brother Emil. Emily was predeceased by her husband Michael, parents Rudolf and Anna, sister Olga and brother Louis. Emily was born in Biskupová, Slovakia, on August 24, 1921. She and her family immigrated to Canada in 1938, settling in the Rosewood area. There she met her future husband and moved to Winnipeg. Graveside service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Special thanks to the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home 3A and Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9.   • Emily will be missed on the 3rd fl at Holy Family. I loved her stories and how she enjoyed Monday Bingos and Thursday singsong. My mother lives on the 3rd fl.
