Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE (OLGA MATILDA) MAXWELL May 7, 1923 - June 3, 2012 Joyce passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on June 3, 2012. Joyce was born to Martin and Oittile Dreger and lived on the family farm in Moosehorn until moving to Winnipeg. She had great stories about her adventures on the farm but always mentioned how hard a life it was. Joyce was an outspoken advocate for employee rights during her career as a seamstress. She was most proud of her job as demonstrator in the China department at Eatons and her beautiful flower beds at home. Joyce married Leslie Pat Maxwell and enjoyed many years of marriage until he passed away in 2000. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren David Block (Sheri) and Susan Lindsay (Tyler), four great-grandchildren Jacob, Alexis, Colton, and Luke, and her daughter-in-law Jeanne Block. She is also survived by her sister Kay, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Pat, son Ron Block, as well as five brothers and three sisters. A private interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Joyce's memory to the Fire Fighters Burn Fund, Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation or to a charity of their choice.
