JOHN SOKOLOSKI 1921 - 2012 We regret the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather on June 4, 2012. John will be lovingly remembered by his children Carol (Robert), Teresa (Leonard); his grandchildren Robert, Jennifer, Coral and great-grandchildren Kara, Karmen, Brianna, Ryan, Lucas and Joshua. He also leaves to mourn his two sisters Annie and Irene. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline. Dad was an avid outdoorsman since a young age. He loved nature, animals and the countryside. He was an excellent marksman and fisherman. He told stories about his hunting trips and fishing trips and how things were on the farm in the olden days. He made weekly visits to the flea market. The family would like to thank everyone who helped us at this sad time. A celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 586-8044

We have had the privilege of sharing many a Christmas with our Uncle John; his positive attitude, great sense of humour and his unwavering support of all of his family endeared him to us all. God Bless you, Uncle John. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Barbara and Richard O'Hara (Our Uncle) on: Jun 08, 2012

Dear Family of John, words cannot express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your father, grandfather, great grand and our friend. we met John a year ago last month, when we joined the flea market in Anola. Bryan and I enjoyed his stories of his younger days, his collection of antiques and his wonderful smile. I started every Sunday with a hug from John and good-bye hug when we would love. He will be sorrowly missed and was loved by everyone we stopped by the market. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families.
