I was a tenant companion to Dorothea, at the Rosewood and Waverley, where Dorothea lived, this past few years. I had the privilege to meet Dorothea, almost one and a half years ago. I am deeply saddened by her passing. I will miss her wit and her jokes, and for sure her kindness and gentleness. Her "shuffle tap 3, 4". She was a lovely lady; and one that I will surely miss. This is the part of my job, that I hate, and the part that is hard. To bid goodbye, to the ladies that I have grown to love. They are family to me. Rest in peace Dorothea, in the arms of the one who made you; beautiful you. I hope you knew how wonderful you are! My grandchildren and I got to know Dorothea during the past 4 years of visiting my own mother at the Rosewood. It was with great sadness to hear of her death. Dorothea was incredibly kind to my grandchildren and they always made a special point of giving her hugs and listening to her stories. She will be very missed by the residents and their families.
