VADE LILLIES It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Vade Lillies on June 6, 2012 at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall. Her memory will always be cherished by her sister Shirley (Ralph) Paterson, daughters Barbara Beauchemin and Reena Lillies (Garry Fenske) and by her much treasured grandchildren Jade, Lee and Davis. Vade was predeceased by her husband Al (2008), by her parents Barbara and Claude Foster, and her brother Alfred. Mom grew up in Balmoral and went on to become a teacher. Eventually she went on to be a principal (the first women principal in the RM of Rockwood) at Stony Mountain. In the late 1960s mom and dad bought the Stonewall Bakery which they ran for many years. When not working mom could be spotted around town with dad on their motorcycles or they were out dancing up a storm. In her retirement her passions were the gym, golf and playing saxophone in the community band. Her grandchildren and the times she spent with them were most precious to her. Sister, Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Friend - a void has been left and you will forever be missed and loved. As per her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at the Stonewall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 4G2.
