Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH TAWKIN On June 9, 2012, Elizabeth passed away at the age of 75. Ela is survived by her husband, Joseph Frankowski, daughter Wanda (Mark) and son Edward (Janice); grandchildren, Jason, Samantha and Tammy and great-grandchildren, Destiny and Cali. Elizabeth was born on November 19, 1936 in Przemysl, Poland. She met our Dad in Sopot, Poland and came to Canada in 1958, residing in Winnipeg. She worked several jobs and then worked her way from Floor Lady to sewing machine operator to Owner of Gadient Manufacturing until she retired. She was an extremely hard worker, an amazing seamstress and learned to be a great Manager. She cared greatly about her co-workers who were like family to her. She had an amazing work ethic, never missed a day and was at the shop at 6:00 a.m. everyday. She taught her children and grand children that amazing work ethic and to take pride in everything they do. Mom liked to sew, to garden but mostly she loved to entertain and cook for her friends, always cooking more than enough, like she was feeding an army. She was also very involved in the Polish Community, at Holy Ghost Church and Sokol Hall where she was President for many years as well as volunteering at Folklorama. Mom loved Bingo too, she played Bingo, worked at Bingo and ran Bingo and still played Bingo at Middlechurch Personal Care Home where she resided for the last four months. Our family would like to Thank the staff at Middlechurch Home and Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and support! We will miss her! Prayers will be held on Friday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Prayers will be held on Friday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating.
