Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFONSO GIGLIONE March 11, 1938 - June 10, 2012 Born in Ioppolo Giancaxio, Agrigento, Sicily, Italy It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear father Alfonso (Fo Fo). After a courageous battle with cancer God called dad and he surrendered his spirit to the Lord. Among many friends and family he left to cherish his memory are his daughters Grazia Giglione, Diane Janes (Mark), his grandchildren Karissa and Martin Janes, brother, Giuseppe Giglione, sister Grazia Giglione, as well as nieces and nephews in Italy. Dad left all that he knew to come to Canada in search of better things in 1951. He was an entrepreneur with successful businesses. He loved spending time in the sports bar chatting over espresso with his friends and playing cards. He had an infinite love for horses and also enjoyed the time spent at the race track. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist. A viewing will take place prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Cancer Society. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715

FoFo, I can recall my first espresso with you 19 years ago. You taught me so many things, you passed down Scopa to me so I may never go hungry! You excepted me at my worst and praised all of my successes. Our last dinner together, just a month ago... I will forever miss you, but am full of wonderful memories. I am going to miss you uncle Fofo!! You were always so good to me, and were almost like a father figure to me. I am going to miss hearing you say "Bella why you no come see uncle Fofo? Next time I killa you" How I wish this wasn't true. But you are in a better place now. You were a good man and loved by many!
