Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA LEANNE LINKLATER (1954 - 2012) Peacefully Leanne passed away with her family and friends at her side on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Health Sciences Centre due to complications after surgery. Leanne was born in Calgary, Alberta on July 29, 1954 to Fred and Alice. She spent her early years in military camps enjoying all that it offered. Being a military kid formed Lea's love of family closeness. She loved to be where her brothers and sisters were at all times and that continued to be so her entire life. Leanne spent from 1968 to 2012 in the Stony Mountain and Winnipeg area raising her family and enjoying the simple lifestyle of the prairies. Lea and Larry were blessed to have travelled together over the last few years through Canada and the United States having many adventures along the way. Leanne was a third generation Stony Mountain Penitentiary employee and was a year from her retirement. Corrections Services Canada will provide her an honour guard at the service. Leanne is survived by her mother Alice, husband Larry, children Lisa, Rick (Crystal) and Sarah (Justin), grandchildren Michael, Justin and Ava, her siblings Allyson, Tim (Anne), Laurel (Tim). With a heart as big as Leanne's, family is not always blood related so it is difficult to define where family actually stops. There are too many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends, neighbours, etc. to begin to list. Leanne was predeceased by her dad Fred (Pop), brother Rick, daughter Alana, grandparents Herbert and Victoria, Hector and Edna (Leanne's namesake) and many aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Leanne's Life will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Church at 1780 Logan Ave., Winnipeg, MB officiated by Pastor Alan Duncalfe. Viewing will take place prior to the celebration. Pallbearers will be nephews Tom, Jamie, Jay, Josh and grandsons Michael and Justin. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Vincent, Bob Dunnington, Tim (Shalyn), Ziggy, Isabel, Lucy, Emily (Josh), Paul (Donna), Jennifer, Aleah, Barry (Michelle), Dickie, and Ellen Elliott. Interment will be held the next day on June 24, 2012 at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the Stony Mountain Anglican Church. You are all invited to join the family at the 10:30 a.m. Church service held at Cross Church where we will proceed to Stony Mountain afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church Missions Fund. I'll Love you Forever, I'll love you for always...... MACKENZIE FUNERAL CHAPEL STONEWALL (204) 467-2525 mackhome@mts.net

One looks at granddaughter Ava, and realizes that Leanne's precious legacy is blossoming. Leanne has the skill to love the sinner, hate the sin. She could comically throw a bucket of water on two opposing factions, and neutralize the flames of disagreement. " ..... nyiiiii ..... WHAT ever ....!" - Posted by: Bill Debiuk (Cousin) on: Jun 19, 2012
