Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Bert was first my boss, then my mentor and finally my friend. Even though I knew Bert was over 90 ( he would never admit to me exactly how old he was), it was still shocking to hear of his passing. I had just been over there to see him after I had been to the hospital to see Eileen. I was concerned about him. Of course he was very stoic, but I'm sure he was heartbroken. I loved him and I will miss him very much. - Posted by: Patti Ross (Friend) on: Jun 30, 2012

  • Saddened to learn of Mr. Blake's passing. Have great memories of his stories, his humor, his "tell it like it is " manner and watching some of his thrilling successes. I enjoyed stopping at his barn at the racetrack on my morning walks. I always left with something to think about. My condolences to Eileen and family. - Posted by: Hazel Bochinski (friend) on: Jun 26, 2012
