JEAN KUHN October 6, 1935 June 19, 2012 Although it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Kuhn (Locht) from cancer, we also celebrate that she is now in heaven with the God she loved and served her entire life. Those who are left here on earth to miss her physical presence are: her devoted husband of 56 years Garry Kuhn, her children Darcy Kuhn (Jody), Corinne Plett (Tim), and Roanna Stevens (Jon), her sister Doreen Borkowsky (Herb), her brothers-in-law Willie Lange and Tom Van Walleghem, her nieces and nephews, and her friends. Her grandchildren, Brendon, Davis, Tyler, Cale, Tirian, Manita, Tayah, and Kennedy, all had a special and unique relationship with their Granny and will miss her deeply. Granny was a fabulous cook and baker and always knew what each grandchild liked best! For many years, Jean attended Grant Memorial Baptist Church and served faithfully in roles where she was needed such as in the pre-two nursery and as a coffee hostess. She enjoyed the many friends she made throughout her years at Grant. Jean also hosted a neighbourhood Bible study at her home for over 30 years and here too she developed wonderful friendships. Jean was not one to desire personal attention but we must give honour where honour is due and affirm that she was a loving wife, devoted mother, and an amazing Granny. She loved God, her family, and others in a way that we know has made her Heavenly Father very, very proud. She certainly has left a wonderful example for us to follow. As a family we wish to thank those at Grace Hospice who so kindly cared for mom as well as the Palliative Care staff of Winnipeg. May you all know that your work matters deeply and your wisdom, kindness, and gentleness are appreciated. And now, it isn't good-bye we say, but rather we'll see you when we see you , and that will be in heaven! In the meantime, we will celebrate the life you lived and all you meant to each of us as we hold dear the lovely memories we have of you. Well done good and faithful servant. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a ministry to orphans in Zambia, Africa: Seeds of Hope, PO Box 3474, Mission, BC V2V 4L1 (www.seedsofhope.com). A private family memorial service will take place. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 www.gleneden-mb.ca
