She is survived by her seven children, Lynda (Tony) Creasy, Peggy (George) Doerksen, Valarie (Len) Pshebnicki, Ernest (Shirley) Creasy, Arden (Diane) Creasy, David (Kath) Creasy, Joyce (Ron) Kelpin, along with many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. As well as her brother Ivan (Zona) Long, and her sister Doris (Dave) Wall. Mom had been predeceased by her Husband (Wilbert), and both parents Howard and Elspet Long. Mom was born in Carberry, Manitoba on August 16, 1925 where she was raised on the family farm. After the Second World War she married her husband Wilbert. Here they raised most of their children. Mom never tired of telling stories about growing up on the family farm and those times. Bernice and Wilbert had their first five children in Carberry; the last two children were born in Lethbridge, Alberta, before the family moved on to Winnipeg where they lived and worked for many years Before retiring to Stockton, Manitoba. On the passing of our Father, Mom moved back to Winnipeg. As Family was always the most important thing to her she loved nothing more than having her children and their families around. As per our Mother's wishes, she has been cremated, and no formal funeral service will take place. If family or friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made in her name to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, at 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 0K6 The family wishes to express our thanks to Dr. Salem, and the nurses and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their care provided during our Mom's lengthy stay.
