MAMIE ISOBELLE FRASER (nee REUTHER) November 14, 1930 - June 29, 2012 Peacefully and with family at her side, Mamie passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home at the age of 81. Mamie is survived by her children, Billy (Raechelle), Kimberly (Gary), Stephen (Cheryl); son-in-law Tim; six grandchildren; four great-grandsons; twin sister, Joan; special niece, Debbie; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Mamie was predeceased by her husband, John; daughter, Sharon; and a daughter Sheila, who died in infancy. Throughout her life Mamie was involved in many volunteer activities including, St. John's Ambulance, coaching baseball for her kid's teams, volunteering for the Pan Am Games, Guildy's at Health Sciences Centre, and Age and Opportunity Centre, to name a few. She loved to travel and was able to see England, Ireland, Hawaii, and both coasts of Canada. Many people will stay warm and cozy under the Afghans that she had knitted. On Friday, July 6, 2012 Mamie's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Meadowood United Church, 1111 Dakota Street, Winnipeg. A private family interment will follow at a later date. The family would like to extend special thanks to Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home for making the last four and half years her home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 415 1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2W8 or a charity of one's choice. Don't weep for me my children; time has so quickly flown, I've lived in the scene of time and change and watched my children grown. Don't mourn too long, my children Rejoice in the memories past, I've gone to join the others I'm going home at last.
