Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRYON CRERAR It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bryon Allan William Crerar on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 67 years. Bryon is survived by his friend Ryan Young; Ryan's mother, Martha Bushie; Ryan's sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews; brother, John of Winnipeg; sister, Cathy Warren of Dryden, ON; nephew, Matthew Warren of Winnipeg; as well as many cousins. Bryon will also be missed by his two dogs, Jamie and Maxwell, and his cat Kellie. He was predeceased by his father Gordon in 1984; his mother Edith in 1998; as well as his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Bryon was born in Eagle River, ON on October 14, 1944 and moved to Dryden, ON, at the age of five. He attended Albert Street Public School and Dryden High School. Bryon's passion was to become a member of the R.C.M.P., but found out that he was too short - a minimum height being a requirement at that time. He became a police officer in Sioux Lookout, ON and ended up moving to Alberta where he continued in this field for many years. Later, Bryon decided to pursue other employment options. He moved to Winnipeg and worked as an orderly at Tache Centre where he loved his job and was well liked. He had to quit his job in 2007 because of health issues. Once he was well, he worked with an organization called DASCH helping with disabled teenagers and adults. Bryon played many sports in his younger years including baseball, football, and curling. One of Bryon's greatest pastimes was going to the stadium to watch the Blue Bombers practice. Bryon also enjoyed going to the cottage that he had at Sandy Bay near Gimli, MB, gardening, and going to his friends hometown of Hollow Water, MB where he'd take homemade clodhoppers for Ryan's nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bryon's Life will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. We would like to thank the paramedics, the intensive care staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital, and all of the wonderful doctors and nurses who took care of Bryon in the intensive care ward of the St. Boniface Hospital. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Bryon's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of my former support staff and the founder and C.E.O. of The Dufresne Group. My then-Employment Consultant Angie from S.C.E. Lifeworks happened to sit next to Mr. Dufresne on the flight from Calgary to Winnipeg. My sympathy, Philip - Posted by: Philip (D.A.S.C.H. Inc. client) on: Nov 11, 2021

There is a lump in my throat and I am fighting back tears as I type this. Many people think that the "13th" is an unlucky number, but to me it was lucky. April 13, 2012 was when I met you and never left your side. On every 13th, I close my eyes and whisper "Happy Anniversary". You were my first love, my world, my all. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you. I miss you so much, I miss your unexpected hugs and kisses, your expressions of love...and our Sunday drives where I would pick any road and just get "lost". I loved how you knew me, you paid close attention to the smallest details of my favorites, it meant the world to me. You may have had a small family but with me, your family grew. My family loves you and welcomed you with open arms. They would ask about you when I called home. I remember one Christmas we went back home to Hollow Water, I thought kids loved me, but not Chleo. She reached for you and hugged you tight as she left my arms. On the way back to the city, I listened to you bragging about Chleo. I was so jealous, but I was happy because you were happy. It used to be you and me against the world. Now without you, I have an army. My family and friends, thank you for being there for me, when I needed someone to talk to, or to cry with. Bryon, I know you are in Heaven and just a prayer away. I love you and always will, until we meet again, be at peace. - Posted by: Ryan Young (Previous Relationship) on: Apr 11, 2014

Bryon was a wonderful neighbor who will be sorely missed by myself and my family. I enjoyed chatting with him about the neighborhood. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He was always concerned about the well being of everybody in our area. May his soul rest in peace and may God place him on his right hand side together with all the saints. Myself and my family will never forget him in our prayers. - Posted by: Tesfa G. Abraha (Neighbor) on: Jul 05, 2012
