Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY BAZIUK May 16, 1925 July 8, 2012 Mary, beloved mother grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Seven Oaks Hospital on July 8, 2012. Mary was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1995, by her daughter Olga in 2011 and by her infant son. She leaves behind to mourn her passing are her sons Slawko (Ursula), William (Ardice), daughters Stephanie (Ray), Phyllis (Bill), Ann (Ray), Carol (Paul) and Janice (Leon), as well as 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mary was born in the Ukraine and came to Canada in 1951. She and her husband settled down to farm in Saskatchewan and then moved to Winnipeg in 1968 where they lived their remaining years. A wonderful cook, Mary was happiest when all kids were around her and she was feeding them. She also loved being outdoors and had a passion for travelling and gardening. Mary had been a member of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be sung on Thursday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Street. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation. 586-8044

Mary, or "Baba" as I knew her was an amazing person. To say she had lived through interesting and extremely difficult times would be a gross understatement.
