MONICA BALANGUIT DEGRAS Peacefully on July 8, 2012 in the Grace Hospital, at the age of 84, Monica Degras passed away into the loving arms of Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband Serapio; seven children in Winnipeg: Norma, Nelia, Rosa, Linda, Nimfa, Nerissa and Junior, as well as five children in the Philippines: Nilda, Armando, Edileberto, Marilou and Louisito. She also leaves behind 40 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, many friends and relatives here and back home. She was predeceased by two of her children Ricardo and Anabell. Monica was born in Buhi Camarine Sur, Philippines and immigrated to Canada along with her husband and three children in 1982. She will forever be missed and will always be remembered as a good role model. She was a very courageous woman filled with positivity that always kept her family going. Thank you for guiding us, supporting us and for providing us with your unconditional love. You will forever remain in our hearts, till we meet again Lamay/viewing will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Saturday, July 14, 2012 between 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Church, 818 Arlington St. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
