JOHN (JACK) D. BARR 1935 - July 11, 2012 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Jack passed peacefully surrounded by his beloved family. Predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Pauline, and his parents William and Grace. Left to cherish his memory: his son David (Florence), daughter Donna (Jeremy), brother Billy (Margaret), sister-in-law Helen (Doug), grandchildren, Mary (Bruce), Stephanie (Conlan), Katie, Johnny, Danny, Sydney, Derek, Kelly, Delaney and great-grandchildren, Ian, Melanie, Alexa, and Liam. At Jack's request, cremation has already taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to CancerCare Manitoba. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Jenn, Seven Oaks Hospital nurses and staff of 3rd floor Units 5 and 6, and the Palliative homecare team for their compassionate care.
