JIM BORDIAN Jim left this world unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2012, with family by his side. Jim was pre-deceased by his wife Elodie (2010), and son-in-law Jeff Griffin (2009). He will be missed and remembered by his children: Kim Griffin, Tanis Bordian and Curtis Bordian. Grandchildren: Misty Riach (Kyle), Raelee Griffin (Jon), Kira Griffin (Byran), Dillon Bordian and Presley Bordian. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren: Cadence Riach, Tarren Griffin-Forest, and Nash Riach. Sister and brothers: Marie Kunkel, Bill (Liz) Bordian and Eli Bordian. Close friends Emil and Rose Bruneau, nephew Gerry (Gail) Bordian, as well as numerous friends and other family. We would also like to give special thanks to Oliver Simner for his dedication and loyalty to Dad. Dad worked in the heavy construction industry all his life. Upon his retirement , he started his own heavy equipment business. He had been working on one of his Caterpillars just days before his passing. Dad was a perfectionist. Do it right or don't do it at all. Dad spent his time between his home in Winnipeg and cottage in St. Malo. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events. He was so proud of them all. Dad, we love you and will miss you. A memorial service to celebrate Dad's life will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R2J 4J4. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Craig Street Cats, 489 Madison Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 1J2 (Ph: 421-1919) or to a charity of one's choice. When I was a young teenager in St. Vital, your dad boarded at our house, 123 Ellesmere Ave., when he was studing his trade. Being a few years older than me, he received many phone calls from young ladies and when they asked for Jim Bordian I took the calls saying that I was him....dad didn't catch on until the young ladies said that some young teenager was intercepting their calls!! We had many laughs over the years about this. Myrl & I send our condolences to all the family members. - Posted by: James Bordian, Vancouver formerly Wpg. (cousin) on: Jul 18, 2012
