Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUGUST (GUS) SVORAD Peacefully on July 11, 2012, at Holy Family Home, Gus passed away at the age of 85 years. Gus was born in Slovakia on June 24, 1927 and came to Canada in 1937. He was predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law Rose, brothers-in-law Wally and George. He leaves behind his brother Frank; sisters Mary, Mildred (Gus), Josie, Gertie, and Helen (Don); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Holy Family Home staff for the many years of excellent care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church at Munroe and Brazier. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society, Suite 100 - 1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 1L8. 586-8044
