Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE GIESBRECHT (nee AARHUS) On July 17, 2012, a bright, sunny day, mom went home to be with her Lord and Saviour at the age of 93. Mom was the eldest of five children born to homesteaders Kinute and Marie Aarhus near Woodridge, Manitoba. Mom had many interests including a large garden every year, quilting, baking and preserving. Mom was predeceased by her husband John in 1996, son Lloyd in 1997, and brothers Alvin and Ewald. She is survived by her three children Dorothy (Dennis), Arne (Sonia), Margaret (friend Ralph), as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Viewing on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., also at Friends Funeral Service. Interment to follow in the Norwegian Cemetery in Menisino, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Norwegian Cemetery Fund, Box 4232, Steinbach Manitoba, R5G 1R2. Special thanks to Doctors Carolina Arameda and Monica Dewhanik and D5 staff at the Health Sciences Centre.

My deepest sympathy to Margaret, Dorothy and Arnie on the the passing of Aunt Mrytle. I was glad I was able to talk to you yesterday Margaret as we had just returned home and heard about the passing of Aunt Myrtle.
