JETSKE (JESSIE) DE JONG (nee VAN DER MOLEN) November 4, 1932 - July 17, 2012 I heard the voice of Jesus say, Come unto Me and rest.' The Lord welcomed His child, Jessie De Jong, into His Heavenly Home on July 17, 2012. Jessie was born in Oranjewoud, Friesland and immigrated to Canada in 1953. She married Andrew De Jong on November 4, 1955, and they enjoyed 56 years of married life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew, and her children Margaret (Jacques) Van Daalen, Caroline (Fred) Tinholt and Fred (Ingrid) De Jong. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Cheryl (Murray), David (Sonya), Janessa (Jamie), Stephanie (Steve - fiance), Jeanine, Andrew, Joshua, Marisa and Sierra. She also loved her nine great-grandchildren: Michael, Megan, Tyler, Landon, Chad, Erica, Hope, Savannah and Chelsea. Jessie was predeceased by parents, Paulus and Grietje Van Der Molen, as well as siblings Fred (Francis), Grietje (Auke), Catrien (Wiebe), Andries (Wietske) and Sjoerd. She is survived by siblings Hessel (Appie), Jan (Wietske) and Pieter (Miriam) in the Netherlands, as well as by sisters-in-law Wieke, Mary and Yeltsje (William), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral will be held at Transcona Christian Reformed Church, 131 Victoria Ave. West, on Tuesday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be Monday, July 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and half an hour prior to the funeral. A luncheon will follow with internment afterward at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Oakbank. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the Riverview and Misericordia Health Centres. I came to Jesus as I was, so weary, worn and sad; I found in Him a resting place and He has made me glad. Seasons Funeral Chapel - OakBank
