MURRAY ROBERT GILLESPIE July 26, 1946 July 20, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear brother and friend, Murray. Following a brief illness, he passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Riverview Palliative Care Unit with family at his side. Murray was born on July 26, 1946 in Winnipeg. He is survived by his sisters, Marie (Norm) Brownell, Gladys Rewutzsky, Martha (Rick) Klimack and Alma Gillespie. He was predeceased by his father Robert, mother Dorothy, and brothers Barry and George Gillespie. Murray was very special to his adopted family, Adam and Joanne Kilfoyle, Abby, Amy, Andrew and Ava, where he resided for two and one half years. Murray recently moved to the Manitoba Eastern Star Chalet, but enjoyed living there for only a short time before he became ill. Murray truly loved family and friends, being with people, children and animals. He was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed going to work. He is fondly remembered by co-workers at Kristina's on Corydon, Superboy's Family Restaurant, George's Burgers and Subs, and Gil's Furniture. Murray also loved being in church. He was greatly loved and will be missed by the people of Victory Baptist Church, New Life Sanctuary and Family Life Church. Murray's deep and childlike faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew him. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and all the staff on 3E at the Riverview Palliative Care Unit for their kindness to Murray and the compassionate care he was given. A celebration of Murray's life will take place on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Victory Baptist Church, 3428 Portage Avenue. Viewing will commence at 1:00 p.m., service at 2:00 p.m., reception following the service and interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or Riverview Health Centre. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715

Yes he ws a very nice man and I would see him at Daly Burgers and always enjoyed our vists. I'm so sorry I'm away now as I would be there as my son just got married. I give my best to the family as we grew up together in St. Vital as one of the best places to live in our time. Glen Smith - Posted by: Glen Smith (Friend) on: Jul 24, 2012
