She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter Janice Robinson of Portage la Prairie, daughter Judy Rea of Prince Rupert, son Rick (Lynn) of Miami, six grandchildren and significant others, four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Olive Stewart of Prince George and Laura Wudrick of Edmonton. Dora was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1997 and sons-in-law, Perry Robinson and Robert Rea. Mom was born September 22, 1917 in Miami, Manitoba to William and Alice Lenton. In 1942, Mom enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force serving within Canada for three years. On June 16, 1945, Mom and Dad were married and lived on the Sprott family farm until she moved into Miami after Dad passed away. Mom took great pride in her gardens and yard. She was actively involved in many community organizations including UCW, Rebekahs, 4-H, and Miami Rifle Club. Mom enjoyed quilting, knitting and other craft work as well as reading and her biggest regret was losing her eyesight to macular degeneration. Dora was a wonderful person all of her life. She was always eager to visit with any-one who stopped by or met her downtown. Her loss of sight was such a blow to her but she took it all in stride, like everything and went on. I never knew her till 1965. But we grew to be friends, as she did to everyone who knew & loved her. She will ne sadly missed, and our sincere condolences go out to the family. She is at rest now. - Posted by: Clayton & Doreen Cox Family (Friends) on: Jul 24, 2012
