Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLORIA DIANE BARNES (nee PEARSON) Peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2012 it is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria Diane Barnes. Gloria was predeceased by her husband Reginald in 2010 and by her parents Addie and Frank Pearson. Left to mourn her passing is her son Richard (Debbie) Barnes; daughter Lori Barnes; grandchildren Kristyn and Kyle Barnes, Jonathan (Marina) Robert, Angela (David) Anderson; great-grandchildren Heather and Fiona Anderson, and Landon, Carrisa and Finley Robert, and numerous relatives (many of which are from Iceland). Gloria was born on February 2, 1933 in Winnipeg to Frank and Addie Pearson. An only child, Gloria was a strikingly beautiful and charismatic woman who befriended everyone she met. She met the love of her life Reginald Barnes at the Officer's Mess in Winnipeg and they were joined in marriage shortly after. A pilot in the Air Force, Reg and Gloria moved around, living in Nova Scotia and Alberta and finally establishing residence in Manitoba. Gloria will be lovingly remembered in our hearts and forever missed. As per Gloria's wishes cremation has already taken place and there will be a private family funeral held at a later date.
