  • Valerie and Sam I am sorry for your loss. I remember going to your moms house and she was always making something to eat. She was full of laughter as well as your dad. Valerie remember the good times and know that she is with the lord. I am so sorry I could not make it today it would have been nice to see you again. Your friend from Brooklands. I often think of you. - Posted by: Donna Lavallee Drury (Friend of Valerie) on: Jul 31, 2012

  • Baba, we all miss her dearly. It's sad to think that she has passed but she had lived a good life. I (Sarah Hargreaves) remember seeing her every time I would come to Winnipeg. She gave this baby blue butterfly stone that I would always admire when I would come over. She was a strong and lovely lady and we will miss her dearly. Hope to see you someday. Us three grandchildren love you deeply. Rest in Piece. - Posted by: Sarah Hargreaves, Maxwell Nathan-Simons and Rylee Remington (Great Grandchildren) on: Jul 30, 2012

  • I remember when I was growing up in Sandy Lake and often going to Dora and Joe's to play with Valerie, Dora always was kind and full of laughter. In ensuing years whenever I met her she always had a smile that sparkled. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Vicki Lazaruk (Hnatuk) (long time friend from Sandy Lake originally) on: Jul 30, 2012

  • It was a pleasure knowing both Doris & husband Joe, always cheering our Sandy Lake ball club on the July sports day and the Elphinestone sports day. Great people to be around. We can plan, we can hope, but we can't determine what will happen. We don't know what lies ahead. Only God knows that. Vichnaya Pamyat. - Posted by: Kenneth Ellchuk (Friend) on: Jul 30, 2012

  • Dora, I remember clearly how you were there 38 years ago and welcomed your twin granddaughters. You were a wonderful Baba! You took the time to sew beautiful (identical) dresses for the twins and helped to care for them. My love and respect for you has always stayed strong. God Bless you and may you rest in peace. - Posted by: Joyce Guban (paternal grandmother to my daughters) on: Jul 30, 2012

  • Sam Valerie and Family I am so sorry for your loss. I am so happy that I spent some time with her last week talking about old times. We talked about the wiener roast going to Sandy lake and even going to our favorite place Aunty Annie's farm in Cooks Creek. She laugh with me and called out name. She was always keeping in touch by phone with all her nieces. This made me feel very special. She was a wonderful Aunt and we will miss her. In the midst of troubles, peace can be found in Jesus.
