EDWARD GEORGE KLEEMOLA 1959 - 2012 It is with deep regret and profound sadness to announce the passing of Edward Kleemola on July 12, 2012, at the age of 52. Edward (Turtle) is lovingly remembered by his wife Lorrie; son Gregory; daughter Alyssa; mother Henriette Kleemola; brothers Theodore (Norma), Allan (Bette), John (JoAnne); sisters Mariette (Bill) Trossel, Anne (Orval) Pettit, Mary (George) Laquette, Karen (Darcy) Dick, (Gail Kleemola). He will also be missed by father-in-law Russell Moffat, many brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ed is predeceased by his father Emil, brother Robert, and mother-in-law Doris Moffat. Ed graduated from William Morton Collegiate Institute in Gladstone, MB. Shortly after graduation he moved to Winnipeg to pursue a career in carpentry with Bird Construction. Ed and Lorrie wed in 1983, and settled in Rosser, MB, to raise their family in the home that Ed built himself. After 25 years with Bird Construction he ventured out on his own, and in 2005, started his own company, Styx and Nails Contracting. He loved being his own boss and many of his clients became good friends by the time the job was done. Ed had a passion for snowmobiling and spent countless winter days touring the trails with Lorrie and their many friends. He also loved fishing, camping and working around the yard. Ed was a dear friend to many and was always the first to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Ed's greatest pride and joy was his family, as was he to them - He will forever be missed. Goodbye doesn't say it all Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1 at the Grace Community Church, 280 Caron Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. We did not know Ed well, but have several memories of your family living on Freemont Bay, Ed and Dwayne always jockied for the parking spot on the road in front of our houses for their work vehicles. I also remember well a very small Greg and Alyssa riding a small snow vehicle around in circles in the front yard. Treasure all your memories, be strong for each other. God Bless each of you.
