HENRY (HANK) MYCAN Novmber 12, 1914 - June 26, 2012 Our Dad had a great life! He was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the North End of the city, graduating from St. John's Tech. He then went on to serve in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. In 1949, he married our Mom Anne Dobchuk, and together they raised their three daughters on Kingston Row, a home he lived in until February of this year. Family was the most important thing to him and he loved each and every one of us unconditionally. He took great interest in all of our endeavors and accomplishments. Gigi made a lot of phone calls and was always one of the first to sing Happy Birthday to each of his children and grandchildren on their special day. Second only to his family was the love of his career. He was proud to be a Beer Salesman and General Sales manager. He began at Drewry's, then continued at Carling O'Keefe and retired from Molsons. Dad had a wealth of information about the beer and hotel industry in the Province of Manitoba and was always willing to share stories of many adventures travelling around the Province. Dad was a great role model to all of us as a charitable person, who volunteered and supported his community. He was a member of many service clubs in Winnipeg and proud to be a life time member of many. He was predeceased by his only sister Minnie and his beloved wife Anne in 1996. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three daughters and their families, Gail and Craig Kushnier, Jeremy and Jenny-Lee, Bryce and Melody, Serge, and great-granddaughters Nora Bella, Penelope and Ruby. Valerie and Kim McCartney, Megan and fiancé Jay and Morgan. Marcie Mycan and Anthony Lovett, Katie and Ricki. The family would like to thank the Janz Family who have been wonderful neighbours and our Dad's dearest friends, Don Brethauer, Cam Roy, Lenny Vince and the late Fred Binder, who have been an amazing support group for our Dad.
