VICTOR KOROSCIL April 8, 1937 - July 30, 2012 Every life has a story, and every story has a beginning. Dad's story began in Sandy Lake, Manitoba, on April 8, 1937. He was one of 15 children. He was predeceased by his parents and seven siblings and is survived by six sisters and one brother. Surviving Dad also, is his loving wife Judy, of almost 48 years. By us, his daughters Crystal McLeod (Rod) and Cathy Goertzen (Brent), his four grandboys Kent and Robert McLeod and Justin and Kyle Goertzen all of whom he cherished dearly, and also Mom's brother, John Henry. Mom and Dad came to Oak Bank in 1965, as newlyweds. Dad's hands were never idle. Mom was usually the project planner and Dad was the do-er. For almost 48 years they complimented one another. In the early 1970s they, along with the RM of Springfield developed Willow Avenue West. Dad was very proud of that accomplishment. Many of the original lot purchasers still reside on Willow and have became life time friends. In 1977, they built their family home on acreage on Hillside Road north of Oak Bank. A home where many beautiful memories were made. In 1998, Mom and Dad came full circle by returning to Oak Bank and purchasing a retirement home. Dad spent 34 years employed at Dominion Malting, now Malteurop on Dugald Road. He took early retirement in 1995. With failing health it was only with Mom's loving care and help from home care and very compassionate neighbours that Dad was able to remain at home until two weeks to prior to his death. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Patricia Harris and the oncology staff at Concordia CancerCare for 20 years of professional and compassionate care. Most recently the Beausejour Hospital and its caregivers who gave Dad loving care to make his final journey as comfortable as possible. We are also grateful to Father Charles and St. Michael's Parish for all of their support. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cooks Creek, Manitoba, with Fr. Charles Fillion presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations will be appreciated to St. Michael's Church Building Fund Box 6 Group 22 RR#2 Dugald, MB R0E 0K0 or a charity of one's choice. One or the other must leave, One or the other must stay. One or the other must grieve, That is forever the way. That is the vow that is sworn, Faithful til death do us part. Braving that what has to be borne, Hiding the ache in the heart. One, how so ever adored, First must be summoned away. That is the will of the Lord. One or the other must stay. Seasons Funeral Chapel ~ OakBank
