Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELEONORE COTE-GAUTHIER Peacefully, on Sunday, July 29, 2012, Eleonore Coté-Gauthier passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 87 years. Left to cherish Eleonore's memory are daughters Yolande (Bill), Evelyn (Larry), son Ernest (Lucienne) and son-in-law Hans. She is also survived by her four sisters Annette, Rita (Claude), Beatrice (Aurele), Doris (Denis), brother Leo (Therese), sister-in-law Johanne (Jules), brother-in-law Grant (Terry), niece Irene (Marcien), 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Adelard (1987), second husband Gerald (1995), daughter Louise (2005), son Robert (1963), five sisters and four brothers. Mom spent most of her life in St. Malo and also 11 years in Regina with Dad. She lived at the Chalet Maloin and was always helping out in some capacity as well as working as treasurer on the committee. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her many friends. She would plant her flowers and help others with theirs. Mom was a loving caring person who always thought of others first. She had a passion for sewing and made sure she left her friends with family special mementos that they will cherish forever. Mom was always there for us and the grandchildren with a kind word, and sometimes scolded us for something she thought we did wrong. We were never too old for her, she was always a Mom. We love her dearly and will miss her more than we can ever imagine. Special thanks to the staff in ICU, the step-down unit, and especially the 7th floor staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. A celebration of Eleonore's life will be celebrated on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Malo R.C. Church in St. Malo, Manitoba, with Father Dominic LaFleur officiating. I have many fond memories. My favorite memorie is from my high school years, in the 1980's. Pepere and Dad would carpool, and because Memere and Pepere live a block from my high school, Dad would drop me off early in the morning and Memere would make me breakfast and talk with me about what was going on in my life.
