RICHARD ANDREW SLANEY December 7, 1975 - July 30, 2012 In the early morning hours of Monday, July 30, 2012, the soul and spirit of a Good Man passed from this earth into the loving arms of our dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Richard Andrew Slaney, beloved husband of Lindsay and loving father of Kendal and Jillian, could no longer find the strength to go on in this earthly world. He was just 36 years old. Richard was born and raised in Newfoundland. He was the only son of Hugh and Philomena Slaney. He adopted Manitoba 15 years ago, and dearly loved this beautiful province. He was a master carpenter, superb chef, dedicated hunter, enthusiastic fisherman and the most pleasant and honest human being that could have possibly graced God's Green Earth. He will be forever missed. We mourn his passing, but we celebrate his wonderful life. Here on earth to remember him are: His wife Lindsay, his son Kendal, his daughter Jillian, his parents Hugh and Phil, his sister Kyla (Ripley) and her husband Terry and daughter Anjuli, as well as his dearly loved maternal grandmother, Nanny Stell and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard was a friend to everyone he met and his list of true friends is long: he has left a legacy that any man could be proud of. He is now at peace in his heavenly home.
