HELEN MABEL JESTIN (nee WEBSTER) On Tuesday, July 31, 2012 Helen Jestin passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 90. Helen is loved and remembered by her sons Randy, Shane (Marilyn), Brad (Anita); grandchildren Terra, Chandra, Lauren, Cheryl, Ken, Adam, Lindsay; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and sister-in-law Phyllis. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mabel Webster; by her brothers Charles and Harold Dutch , and sisters Edna, Muriel and Irene. Helen was born October 23, 1921 in Elkhorn, Manitoba and lived in a big house by the rink as she liked to tell us. She moved to Winnipeg in 1943 and attended Success Business College. After graduation she worked in several law firms in the city as a legal secretary. She married Ed in July 1948 and had three sons. She continued to work and raise her family until she retired in 1988. She enjoyed her retirement, she traveled and spent her time visiting friends and family and was always available to assist her many grandchildren. Remember me with smiles and laughter if you remember me at all. If you can only remember me with tears then don't remember me at all. Author Unknown Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Elkhorn, MB.
