Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • My heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother. As kids your Mom always made me feel a part of your family and welcomed me into your/her home. Take care. David - Posted by: David Cove (Friend of Randy and Janice ) on: Aug 08, 2012

  • My Auntie Peggy was so special. Even though we lived so far apart she played such a big part in our lives. She was there for my wedding, for my Dad’s passing and she was with us when we had to ease my Mom, her sister out of her worldly bonds. She made happy occasions happier and sad occasions bearable. My heart goes out to Derek, Denise, Randy and their families. Please take comfort in knowing how much she was loved, how much she will be missed and how many wonderful memories she left behind. - Posted by: Cathy Bell (Niece) on: Aug 06, 2012

  • I will remember our special lunches and our phone conversations when she would ask about each one of my children. She always wanted to know the details of our lives, how I was, what was going on with me and she listened and cared so much. Her baking was amazing and when visiting she always put out something special with a cup of tea. My last visit with her in June, when she was already so sick, she was concerned that I needed a cup of tea and that she had nothing to put out. That was Auntie, always worried about everyone else. I know she is now at peace and I can't wish her back, but I will cherish her name and be proud to have been named after someone so special. I will miss you so very much Auntie. Love you. - Posted by: Margie L Mead (Niece) on: Aug 06, 2012

  • Auntie Peggie will be missed by so many. She had a great aptitude for remembering so many details about someone such that she always made a conversation very personal. I'll always remember her amazing dainties, especially newly tried ones, as she was more adventurous than her sister, my Grandma, in trying out new recipes, which often lead to new family favorites. I also fondly remember many large family get-togethers that included both Bell and Plouffe families, at which Auntie often played a central role. My hearfelt condolences especially to Derek, Denise, Randy and their families at this time. May you cherish your many memories. Love, Tara and family. - Posted by: TARA SHEWCHUK (Great-niece) on: Aug 05, 2012

  • So many memories. My biggest one however is how generous she was and how proud she was of everyone in her life. More recent in the past 10 years i would often drop in on her for lunch. I would always have my lunch with me but she always managed to have other stuff out for me. During those lunches we would talk systematically about the important things in life and family was always the first topic of conversation, then about myself, then about work. She always loved hearing about Emma and Anna and what they were up to. I forgot to tell her the other day that they got new shoes from the states. And that is the kind of stuff that she liked hearing about and made her who she was. She is in a peaceful place right now and has a lot to catch up with Grampa about. I love you Gramma and I will miss you. - Posted by: Chris (Grandson) on: Aug 04, 2012

  • I will miss our weekly phone calls, our tea times our funny inside jokes, the way you got so happy to see us when we came to visit you, your stories, the way you looked at your great grandchildren, your generosity, your kindness, your laugh .., I can go on I will miss you always! - Posted by: Jennifer Nagam (Grandaughter ) on: Aug 04, 2012
