Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN HUNT Peacefully on August 6, 2012, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Helen Hunt passed away at the age of 89 years to be with her dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served. Helen was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1995, her parents Jacob and Elisabeth Lemky, brothers Henry, Abraham, Jacob, John and Walter. Helen is survived by her daughter Joan, sister Anne, sister-in-law Jessie Lemky all of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Florence Lemkay of Edmonton and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was born October 18, 1922 in Ethelbert, Manitoba near Winnipegosis and as a child lived with her family in Transcona and on a farm near Balmoral, Manitoba. As an adult, Helen lived in Winnipeg, marrying her husband Harold at the age of 36. They had one daughter Joan and lived in Winnipeg and surrounding rural areas. After the passing of her husband in 1995, she spent her remaining years with her unmarried daughter. They enjoyed their life together, doing quite a bit of travelling. Helen will be greatly missed by her daughter Joan but we know she is celebrating in heaven with many dear friends and loved ones. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Viewing will be held prior to the service and interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
