ANN MARTEL It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Ann Martel on August 4, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Diane (Merille), Carol (Nick), and son Bryan; also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her good friends Eva and Gisela. Thank you both for your care and concern for our Mom. Ann was predeceased by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. She has also gone to join her husband Charles who passed in 1978, and grandson Gary who passed in 1985. Mom was never happier than in the summer when she could be found outside working in her yard. She always had a beautiful flower garden to show for her hard work. She enjoyed knitting for the younger children and none would go without a warm pair of mittens for the winter months. Her baking skills surpassed everyone. Especially her homemade bread! Thank you to Dr. Campbell and the staff of the Beausejour Hospital for the care and compassion they gave our Mom. As per Ann's request a family graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
