Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Wonderful memories of Aunty Doreen & Uncle Jim in Winnipeg at Christmas or in the summer on the deck with our big family get togethers. Also great times in Palm Springs. I'll miss you. Take care Donna, Nancy and Joan. Love, Shannon - Posted by: Shannon Chambers (Niece) on: Aug 10, 2012

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. We've known both your mom and dad for many years, hearing all about their antics with the "ringette gang" from the Fierhellers. I have good memories of your mom's gentle smile and personality. She will be missed. - Posted by: Carol and Bob Kirkhope (friend) on: Aug 09, 2012

  • Donna, Nancy & Joan, My deepest sympathies to you and your families. I can remember playing with Joan and Corie (Yakimowski)on the Bay as little girls. I remember how your parents would host parties and invite the neighbours in your basement. Your mom and dad always welcomed people in their home and always had big smiles and stories to tell. I could find your mom on the deck in your backyard in the summer, enjoying the summer sun or reading the lastest book. A few years ago while spending a day with my parents, I bumped into yours (before they left the Bay), as I asked about the 3 of you as I had not seen or heard about you for a while. Your mom's eyes would sparkle, filled with pride telling me of your jobs, your families. You were all very special to her, and especially since she lost the sight of one eye, Joan, you were truly her biggest support. Your dad would say that you would bug the doctors until she was given the very best care possible. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. • Condolences to the family. We will always remember the good times we had with Jim and Doreen in Palm Springs. Our time together was all too short, they were wonderful people. - Posted by: Gordon and Cheryl Brygidyr (Friends) on: Aug 09, 2012
