Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN ENGLISH On August 7, 2012, at the Kildonan Personal Care Center Lillian English formerly of Carriage House North passed away at the age of 85 years. Mom was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Gladys Boyd and her husband Herbert English and her dear friend Pearl Wilson. Mom leaves to mourn her son Pat Rick (Carla), former daughter-in-law Lauren, grandchildren Paul (Jeffrey), Laura (Brian), Rachel, Jonathan and great-grandchildren Kylee and Samantha. Mom also leaves to mourn her long-time cherished friend Martha Morrison. Mom always had a special place in her heart for Paul and missed him dearly after he moved to Toronto. Mom's greatest loves were playing cards with the girls from Carriage House and visiting with Martha. In days gone by, Mom coordinated regular Bingo trips to the casinos, and was a member of the North End Seniors group. Mom was also a former member of the Patricia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Winnipeg. Mom always enjoyed her Sunday drives to A W in Lockport for a burger or to her favourite seafood restaurant. Mom was always very independent as she never wanted to bother anyone when she had a need or a problem. Many thanks go out to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Center who made Mom feel special and comfortable during the last several months. We would like also to thank Dr. Mark Kristjanson and the staff at Kildonan Medical Center for their tremendous care given to her. A Celebration of Mom's life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home located at 4000 Portage Avenue, in Winnipeg. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715

My mom and dad were friends of Lillian and Herbert. They used to play a lot of cards together. My sister Helen found this. 40 years ago Joan and I got married and thanks to your parents we had our reception in your mom and dad's basement. We were young and they helped us out. I will always remember them both. Thks for letting me tell this story. - Posted by: paul gouzecky jr. (freind) on: Aug 13, 2012

A truly lovely lady with a tremendous sense of humour, open and sharing, a loving nature. So proud of her son, Pat, and always spoke lovingly of Paul whom she missed terribly when he moved away. It was an honor to be considered among Lil's friends. My sincere condolences to Pat and much love always. A son to be treasured. Always remembered.
