(White Thunderbird Lead Speaker) (Wahbiskah Ahnahmeekeekah Beenayshee Kaneeganeet Kageegetott) March 1, 1958 - August 8, 2012 With sadden heart, we announce the passing of our dearly beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. Ralph Jr. was predeceased by his parents Ralph Sr. and Margarette Alexander, his brothers Harvey and John Alexander, his sister Lorraine Alexander, his nieces Michelle and Peggy, his sister-in-law Cecile Alexander, and his best friend and brother Dennis (Chiboy) Guimond. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Mary, his son Percy (Angie) Smith, his daughter Vanessa Smith, his brother Percy (Cookie), his sisters Tany Dorland, Leona Sinclair, and many nieces and nephews. Also his adopted family, Rubyann Ducharme, Kenneth (Jennifer) Ducharme, Maurice (Tanya) Ducharme, George (Rachel) Ducharme, Claudia (Chocolate Cake) Raymond Mallett, John (Colleen) Ducharme and Jennifer Houle, 28 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Ralph was an avid hunter. He loved the bush life. He worked for various organizations. He worked as a social worker at Mino Pimatiziwin in Sagkeeng. He also worked for the Cree Nation Tribal Health at The Pas, Manitoba. Ralph loved the traditional way of life. He helped so many people in their time of need. Ralph is now going into the spirit world to be with his other family in Heaven. We love you Bro, you will be greatly missed. Wake service starting Monday August 13, 2012, at St. Alexander Church, followed by Funeral service Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at parish cemetery, with Father Augustine and Father Malachy officiating. Pallbearers: Peter Ducharme, Joe Ducharme, Percy Smith, Greg Dorland Jr., Kevin Alexander, Frank Alexander, Harvey Alexander, Kevin Guimond. Honourary Pallbearers: John Bignell, Ray Sandburg and Gillis Alexander. Rest in peace. Lorraine Alexander, Michelle and Peggy, I care about you so so so much-you were the best family I ever had, -Ralph Sr. and Margarette Alexander, they took me in and accepted me.
