EMILIA MILLIE ANDERSON (nee KRUPA) September 8, 1909 - August 17, 2012 On Friday, August 17, 2012 at Poseidon Care Centre, Emilia Millie Anderson, at the age 102 years, passed away peacefully. Emilia will be sadly missed by her three children, Robert Allen Anderson (Cheryl) of Coquitlam, BC; Helen Doreen Campbell (Graeme) of Winnipeg, MB; and Peggy Elaine Miller of Winnipeg, MB. Also left to cherish her memory are her loving grandchildren, Eric Anderson (Jamie) of Coquitlam, BC, Danielle Gullmes (Aaron) of Maple Ridge, BC, Christopher Campbell of Winnipeg, MB, Tannis Campbell of Winnipeg, MB, Scott Miller (Heather) of Winnipeg, MB and Ryan Miller (Adam) also of Winnipeg, MB. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Sam, Jack, Elyse and Bennett. Emilia will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Eriksdale, Vogar and Winnipeg and close friends the Pearces, the Bells and Ms. Cairns. Mom was predeceased by her husband Harold Dory Anderson in 1971 and her son-in-law Bruce Miller in 2004. Emilia was born in Czechoslovakia in 1909 and chose to immigrate to Canada at the age of 16 in 1925. She met and married our dad, Harold Dory Anderson and together they raised three children. Mom was a furrier for Harry Winston Furs and for A and M Hurtigs for many years. She retired from Hurtigs at the age of 75 years. Mom had a rare ability to sew or make almost anything. She was very creative. She was an amazing painter and loved to paint landscapes. She loved the cottage and the lake spending time with her family. Mom, we will miss you, but we carry in our hearts, your life lessons and love. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Poseidon Care Centre for the wonderful care they provided mom over the 18 years that she lived there. Cremation has taken place at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre and there will be a private family interment at Thomson In the Park Cemetery followed by a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 1, 2012.
