NANCY McVICAR Peacefully with family by her side, Nancy passed away at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB on August 27, 2012 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her son Richard Wilford (Jill) and daughter Marilyn (Gerry Fender). She was predeceased by her first husband Eugene Wilford and her second husband Neil McVicar. A memorial service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach on Thursday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3. It was always a pleasure to visit my aunt Nancy and uncle Neil. They were especially helpful to us all especially on the passing of our Dad, Alan E. McVicar. Aunty Nancy always made everyone feel welcome and special. Our sincere condolences to Marilyn and Richard on the passing of your Mom. I met Nancy at Pine to Palm while visiting my Mom, Norah Bale (1922-2010). Nancy was a member of the Sunday brunch ladies who went to Bados and then to play cards at each other's homes. Nancy was a great character and we were all entertained by her and thoroughly enjoyed her company. She was so full of life and had a warm and happy spirit about her. I got the impression that every day was an adventure with Nancy. My sincerest sympathies to Marilyn and Jerry and all of Nancy's family.
