  • I first met Susan when we taught at Victoria Albert School many years ago. I was new to Winnipeg and she became my personal guide - showing me around and introducing me to things like snowshoeing and bowling. We had many fun times! Although I moved back to Vancouver, we kept in touch and I always looked forward to her newsy letters and phone calls and occasional visits. I loved looking at her photos and hearing the details of her travels. It is so hard to believe that she has gone. My condolences to Bob and to her friends in Winnipeg. - Posted by: Karen Green (friend) on: Sep 09, 2012

  • Dear Bob, We are shocked to hear of Susan's sudden passing. We go back a long way to the late 60's and early 70's when we taught together at Radisson School in Transcona. Those times we recall were full of fun and laughter and of good friendships that lasted through all these years. We had renewed this friendship as we had joined the Manitoba Retired Women's Association and caught up with her on all the years in between. She was a wonderful person and a true friend that we will miss. Take care. • As Susan's cousin, I have fond memories of going to Winnipeg to visit Susan and her family, and going out to Victoria Beach to the Family Cottage for some excellent times. Susan was always an enthusastic tour guide and always had interesting itineraries of things to see and do around Winnipeg. Susan loved to travel and enjoyed seeing new places and experiencing new things. Susan lived life to the fullest, and will be missed by many. - Posted by: Brian & Shirley Casey (Cousin) on: Aug 31, 2012

  • I was saddened to learn of Susan's death. I just cannot believe she is gone. I and other travel mates spent a delightful day together at the lake in July. We laughed and told stories and remembered the good times we have shared on trips to exotic places and were anticipating travelling to Boston and Panama in the near future. Susan was such a nice person to know. She will be missed and she will be remembered. My deepest sympathies to her family and close circle of friends. Sincerely, Shirley Augustine - Posted by: Shirley Augustine (Travel mate.) on: Aug 29, 2012
