Grief is such a complex, multi-dimensional process to fall into and move through, each of us following a unique path to journey along, sometimes alone and sometimes eased by sharing. While recalling special memories, the foggy details are momentarily clarified as best we can, but the feelings that return are truest as the body stores them without filtering the way the mind does. So it is the memories of hospitality, warmth, generosity, nourishment, love, being listened to, sharing stories, and the hugs... Oh, the best hugs...that we will miss. May you all hold Mary in a very special heart space each time you embrace another - for that is the legacy of love that she leaves us. - Posted by: Lois Perron (neice) on: Sep 07, 2012

Aunt Mary was like a third grandmother to me. I have many memories of her making perogies (dipped in butter of course) and cinnamon buns, starting fires, sharing secrets and many many hugs. It is difficult to see her pass, but I know she is still with me. I love you Aunt Mary. Thank you for being such an amazing and loving part of my life. I will always remember you. - Posted by: Shawnalynn Perron (Nearly her grandaughter) on: Sep 05, 2012

Linda, Louise, Bev and families. Our deepest condolences on the passing of Aunt Mary. I will always hold and cherish her memory at family gatherings in my heart. She did her best to ensure that we all were included and had a part in any activity going on, her love to feed us all, her infamy for being an excellent cook, always her words of wisdom and most of all her smile. We are all blessed and better for having her as part of our family. Brian - Posted by: Brian Belinsky (Nephew) on: Sep 03, 2012

I met Mary through CWL, was honored to help her on teas and learned the exact placement of silverware etc from her. She planned a special reception dinner for my daughter who had gotten married on a foriegn island. She helped me during a family reunion and impressed our relatives so much that it was suggested we just bring her to the next one. She did our fortieth anniversary dinner. She kept me and my children in peroghis, holupchi and all food Ukrainian for years. I enjoyed our chats on the phone and miss them. Mary was such a special person and was liked and admired by all who met her. We will all miss her. Our sincerest sympathies to her family, what a terrible loss to them. ....
