Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE SWARDFAGER March 28, 1921 August 25, 2012 Anne grew up in Winnipeg where she attended Victoria Albert, Hugh John MacDonald and Daniel McIntyre schools. She attended Old St. Andrews United Church at Elgin and Ellen, singing in the Junior and Senior Choirs where she met many life-long friends and Walter, whom she married in 1942. They enjoyed a happy life together on Parkside Drive with their two sons Laurie and Don until Walter's death in June of 1966. Anne loved her Church and many activities and friends; baking, crafts, sewing, entertaining and working at the Medical College where she made several dear friends. Anne began work as a medical secretary in the X-Ray Department of Dear Lodge Hospital in 1966, retiring after 20 years of service. Travelling with dear friends to places like Hawaii, Florida, California, Cuba, Barbados and latterly to Victoria brought her great joy. She was a devoted and beloved grandmother to Walter and Jennifer and a friend and confidant to many others. More recently she enjoyed the company of wonderful friends in the Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts and at the St. James Presbyterian Church. Anne is survived by her sons Laurie and Don and her grandchildren Walter and Jennifer, whom she enriched with her wisdom and comforted with her faith. Let her legacy be the kindness that she inspired by her example and the light that she left inside so many hearts. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715

My sincere sympathy to Laurie, Don and Anne's grandchildren. Anne truly did inspire kindness in others. She was a good friend to my Mom, Jeanne Stephen, and became my friend over the years. I learned many lessons from Anne which will continue to shape my future. She was a very positive and gracious woman who will be missed but not forgotten. - Posted by: Barbara Stephen () on: Sep 01, 2012
